Peter has been involved with the Alcotest 7110 MK-C III breath test device for the past ten years and represented parties in two landmark cases which determined the scientific reliability of that device and the admissibility of Alcotest breath test results at trial. He is also certified in Standardized Field Sobriety Tests by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Peter Lederman is a Certified Municipal Court Attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court. This designation means that he is one of twenty+ attorneys certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Municipal Court Attorney specializing in Municipal Court law. This was achieved after qualifying to sit for a written exam and passing that exam. Qualification required an extensive review of cases tried over the years and comments from Judges and Prosecutors involved in those cases.
Continuing DWI Education
Peter regularly provides Continuing Legal Education seminars for attorneys across New Jersey. He has contributed to news stories produced by major media, and has had articles published in various professional journals such as the articles about the municipal court system published in the New Jersey Law Journal. He has been involved with policy issues involving DWI and related offenses, has testified before the legislature and contributed toward legislation eventually enacted.
