NJSBA EVENT SUMMARY
On May 15th I was privileged to speak again at the 2015 New Jersey State Bar Association Annual Convention. The presentation was part of the Bench Bar conference which involved several Municipal Court Judges, Prosecutors and defense attorneys involved in municipal court matters. Also participating were the Acting Administrative Director of Courts for the State of New Jersey, Hon. Glen Grant as well as the incoming President of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Hon. Miles Winder.
The panel discussed various issues presented in New Jersey involving DWI and related Municipal Court matters. The discussion was often lively and involved important issues such as production of essential discovery in DWI cases and independence of Municipal Courts. Panel discussions such as these enable attorneys, Prosecutors and Judges to publicly address issues of importance to the Municipal Court Bench and Bar. Hopefully, these discussions will result in improvement in the New Jersey Municipal Court system.
