I will have the honor and pleasure of participating as a speaker at the annual Winter Meeting of the National College for DWI Defense, taking place next January 22, 23 and 24 in Fort Worth Texas. The title of the conference is “ Navigating Persuasive Negotiations” in DWI cases. I will be joining other attorneys, academics and consultants from around the country to speak on the importance of persuasion in achieving client’s objectives when charged with driving while intoxicated. My presentation addresses “The Secrets of Negotiating From Both Sides”. I will also be participating on a panel discussing, “Practical Applications of Negotiating Techniques”.
Most clients fail to understand the importance of persuasion in dispute resolution. In DWI defense work, it critical to understand and master these skills as the great majority of cases are resolved through negotiations with the Municipal Prosecutor.
The National College for DWI Defense was founded in 1994 with a mission statement to, “provide the finest advanced level training available to the DWI defense practitioner” and to “vindicate the promise of the United States Constitution that a citizen accused has right to effective assistance of counsel.”
